Your monitoring.
On your server.

Stacktra Monitor checks websites, servers, databases, game servers and everything in your homelab. When something fails, you know right away – via Discord or e-mail, with the cause. And your visitors see the state on your own status page.

Status page

See what’s running at a glance

Every service gets its uptime as a row of bars, with response times, incidents and planned maintenance. Public for your users, with every detail only for you.

  • 24 hours, 30 or 90 days and all time
  • Incidents with updates and postmortems
  • E-mail subscriptions for visitors, badges and a widget for other websites

Alerts

Alerts that know the cause

If the switch fails, you get one alert instead of twenty – Stacktra knows the dependencies. In Discord you react right away with buttons, and everyone sees the state.

  • Discord bot, webhooks and e-mail
  • Escalation, quiet hours, reminders and flapping protection
  • Maintenance windows: no alerts, no effect on uptime

Topology

Your network, understood

Drag devices onto each other and Stacktra knows what depends on what. When something fails, the topology points to the likely cause. “What if?” marks everything behind a device.

  • Suggestions from shared addresses and traceroutes
  • Maintenance for a device and everything behind it in one click
  • As a picture in the Discord alert

Agent

Checks what’s behind your firewall too

The panel runs where it can be reached from outside. A small agent in your homelab checks your internal services and sends the results to the panel encrypted – no open ports at home.

  • Buffers when the connection drops and delivers later
  • New monitors arrive right away, no restart
  • Reports when the panel itself stops answering

Management

Set up in minutes

Add monitors, sort them into groups, order them by drag and drop and test them before saving. A wizard guides you through the first setup with 2FA.

  • Test button for every monitor
  • Roles and permissions for your team
  • Encrypted backups, export and import

And there’s more

Secure from the start

2FA, roles, audit log, encrypted secrets. Measurements are sealed – later changes show up.

Reports

Daily report as a picture in Discord or by mail, PDF reports with a verification ID anyone can check.

API

Start maintenance from scripts, show the status in Home Assistant or Grafana – with keys that never may do more than their creator.

Rack view

Full screen for a display in the rack or on the wall, with a kiosk link without signing in.

Your design

Light and dark, three designs or your own with logo, colours and background.

Achievements

Milestones for long uptimes and good security – with a “how to” for the next step.

Ready in five minutes

You need a Linux server with Docker, a domain pointing to it and free ports 80 and 443. Stacktra gets its HTTPS certificate by itself.

The code will be on GitHub shortly. The commands below work as soon as it is published.

  1. Get the code

    git clone https://github.com/…/stacktra-monitor.git && cd stacktra-monitor
  2. Set up and start

Asks for the domain, creates the keys, starts everything and shows the setup code.

    deploy/install.sh
  3. Finish in the browser

Open https://your-domain/setup, enter the code and create your account with 2FA.

Updates: deploy/deploy.sh – takes a backup first.

Services in your homelab are checked by the agent: add it in the panel under Settings → Check locations and run the command shown there.
